Booking your Portrait Session
Schedule your Session
Contact me to find a date and location for your family session. After finding a date, I’ll send you a portrait agreement to sign and an invoice for the session fee. (between $550-$650) The session fee includes a 30-45min portrait session.

Weekend dates (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) are limited and popular, and thus incur an additional $100 charge. Many of my clients who work regular buisness hours find that by scheduling in the session earlier in the morning or later afternoon, they’re able to work a session with little or no time lost at the office.

Spring and Fall are the busiest time of year for outdoor family sessions, be sure to reach out well in advance for a booking during this time.

2. The Session
It’s time for your family session! During the session I like to focus on making it a fun experience for the whole family. Your kids will get an opportunity to run around, jump in the air, take silly photos, and just in general have a lot of fun! I’ll list a few helpful tips below to try to get the best candid photos of your kids.

Try your best not to tell your kids to “smile” or force good behavior. Understandably, this is a hard task to accomplish especially if your child(ren) is feeling a little moody on the day of the session. As a former nanny and the oldest of 8 children, I have lots of little tricks to get your child smiling so trust me as much as you can.

Let’s face it, we all get a little cranky when we’re hungry. My suggestion to keep the hangry melt downs at bay during the session is to eat a filling snack or dinner before the session.

Bring toys or props! If your kids play baseball, feel free to bring some mitts and a ball to throw around during the session. Bubbles are another fun prop to bring to the session. Most of the time if the prop can be messy, like bubbles, I’ll save it for the end of the session. We’ll get some photos of them playing after we get all the key shots.

How long will it take to get my photos?
Two- four weeks after the session you’ll receive an e-mail from me that your photos are ready. Yay! You’ll be able to view your photos via an awesome slide show. I highly suggest sitting around the biggest screen in your house and viewing it with the whole family. My clients often tell me how excited the kiddos are to see the photos for the first time. If you need to have your photos in less than two weeks please let me know. The rush fee is $75.
